The Brewing Process
1. Mashing
Mashing is the process of combining malted grains with hot water to extract fermentable sugars. This mixture, known as mash, is the foundation of your beer.
2. Boiling
The wort (liquid from mashing) is boiled, and hops are added to impart bitterness, flavor, and aroma. This is where the magic of beer starts to take shape.
3. Fermentation
After cooling, the wort is transferred to a fermenter where yeast is added. Yeast consumes the sugars and produces alcohol and carbonation.
4. Packaging
Once fermentation is complete, the beer is bottled or kegged for carbonation. At this stage, it's ready to enjoy!
